Who is responsible
The data controller is MEAT MASTERY (Cyprus). This is the short, plain-language version: what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect at checkout
- your name and phone number;
- email and Telegram, only if you give them;
- delivery address (not needed for pickup);
- your comment on the order;
- what is in your order;
- a one-way hash of your IP address, to block spam and abuse (Cloudflare Turnstile also receives your IP address for the anti-spam check).
Why
Only to process and deliver your order and to contact you about it. We do not use your order details for advertising and we do not sell them.
Legal basis
Performance of a contract: we cannot fulfil your order without this data.
Legitimate interest (protection against spam and abuse): for the IP address hash.
Your consent: for Meta Pixel (see below).
Who processes it
- Supabase: database hosting in the EU (Ireland);
- Cloudflare: website hosting and the anti-spam check (Turnstile).
Meta Pixel: only with your consent
What it is. Meta Pixel is a tool from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (Facebook, Instagram). We only switch it on if you choose ‘Accept all’ in the cookie banner. It tells Meta which pages of our site you open and what you do there: viewing a flavour, adding to the cart, starting checkout and placing an order (the order total in euros). We never pass your name, phone number, email or address to Meta. Meta also receives your IP address and technical browser data, and sets cookies: _fbp (kept for about 90 days) and, after you arrive from an ad, _fbc.
Why. To see whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to orders, and to show them to people who are interested in jerky. Meta may link this data to your Facebook or Instagram account.
Who is responsible. We and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd are joint controllers for collecting this data on our site and transmitting it to Meta (Article 26 GDPR, under Meta’s Controller Addendum). Meta is solely responsible for its further processing, under its own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy); you can contact Meta directly about it and to exercise your rights. Meta may transfer the data to the United States, relying on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (the European Commission’s adequacy decision).
Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without it, the pixel does not load at all.
How to withdraw consent. Select ‘Cookie settings’ at the bottom of any page and choose ‘Essential only’. The pixel stops loading and we delete its cookies on our site. Withdrawing does not affect processing that took place before.
How long we keep it
As long as needed for the order and for our legal accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, for it to be corrected or deleted, and you can object to its processing. If you think we are breaching your rights, you can complain to the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
Contact
For any data request, message us on Instagram Direct. An email address will be added.
Cookies and browser storage
Essential: your cart and your cookie choice are stored in your browser’s local storage. Turnstile may set technical cookies to block spam. Your checkout details stay in this browser tab’s session storage until you send the order.
Advertising: Meta Pixel cookies, only after ‘Accept all’ (see the Meta Pixel section). We do not use analytics cookies.
